Jody D'Arcy | photographer
| ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER | “I see Life watching the light in and on everthing, the expressions, the details. Imagining what lens, aperture, shutter speed, thinking about what time of day would do it the most justice, every aspect She would think of to capture it,” Jody D’Arcy |
|
Whether it’s Kylie Minogue or the Dalai Lama, a plate of buttery tagliatelle or your newborn baby’s wrinkled feet, Jody D’Arcy will get the shot. With a seemingly-casual touch, which belies a fierce tenacity and determination to nail the assignment, Jody will draw on a nine-year, multi-award-winning photojournalism career to deliver beyond expectations. Sure, she’s a pleasure to work with, immensely professional, fun and engaging, but she’s always got one eye on the visual opportunities around her. Don’t be too thrown if, mid-sentence, she suddenly and quietly turns around, rattles off a couple of frames, and captures a remarkable candid image of your child, dog, or landscape. Jody specialises in securing those moments for her clients, just as she does for her own growing family. “I guess other people may be watching a footie match or admiring a sunset, but I find I’m always looking at those scenes through different eyes. I’m observing the way the light falls, the expressions, the details, and imagining what lens, what aperture, what shutter speed I would use to make the most of this moment.” |
